Before choose this book to read,I have read several English books from the library such as the Joy Luck Club, the Wind in the Willows, Charlotte's Web.At the same time,when I come to Hawaii,I have downloaded a series of Harry Potter on my Kindle and now 1'm on the third book called Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban. Those books are for the teenagers with rich plots,so I decided to read a different kind of fictions.I have heard Animal Farm before and actually I have this book but never try open it.However, in Hawaii,I choose to read this book to improve my English.
This book is different from those books I mentions before,It's about the political,so it may not attractive and I gave up several times but finally made it. I didn't use a dictionary because I just want to understand the main idea.The author talked about the animals that trying to control their own life and build a world of equal but finally ruled by pigs.People said that this book reflects the historical events of Soviet Union from the October Revolution to Stalin period and I agree with it.
Hello, this is Jiazheng Liu. is a good novel and I read it when I was in the language school. Indeed, The book was reflecting the Soviet Union Society. Most of character in the book, you can find some similarity in the historical figures (such as Napoleon is Stalin). All in all, I think it is a very interest book and hopefully you would enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteI have finished reading it,However, I may not try to read it again.There is no doubt that this book is interesting and it's type to reflect the history is new.Personally,I will recommend this book to people who are interested in history.As I am not interested in policy and the helpless and sad ending make me feel uncomfortable,I may not try to read it again recently.
